“Several of our area partners who have feeding programs told us that the number of people they served in the last year has doubled or tripled,” Jeane Smiley-Mason, Gleaning’s president said.
Gleaning’s first Love Your Neighbor donation event was held in mid-February, but was cut short due to the wide-spread ice storm that left so many in the area without power.
The organization will be on-site at Sam’s Club on Wards Road March 16-18, and again on April 6-8.
